U.S. PIMA COTTON
COTTON USA promotions in the UK sold nearly 236,000 Christy brand premium U.S. cotton towels. Successful promotions with Christy expanded U.S. cotton exports by an estimated 426 bales of U.S. Pima cotton in 2014, valued at approximately $425,000, up from 297 bales in 2013.
Christy is England’s original towel manufacturer and has steadily increased its U.S. cotton use since becoming a COTTON USA licensee in 2007. Its sales of COTTON USA towels from July 2013 through June 2014 increased by 9% in volume and 5.9% in value on the year.
Christy is just one of hundreds of COTTON USA licensees that partner with CCI because the COTTON USA program not only expands U.S. cotton exports, but improves its bottom line.
