CCI and Cotton Incorporated Present Consumer Trend Research in Colombia
Cotton Council International (CCI) and Cotton Incorporated met with eight mills and retailers in Colombia to present results from the 2016 Global Lifestyle Monitor, detailing Colombian, Mexican and U.S. consumer preferences and global retail trends.
These meetings are part of CCI’s trade servicing efforts that seek to drive additional U.S. cotton into the marketing chain by expanding the flow of information about U.S. cotton. CCI tailored the meetings to address the strategic needs and objectives of U.S. cotton’s customers, keeping them apprised of consumer behavior, retail trends, retail sales strategies and market opportunities.
During the meetings, leaders from the textile-apparel-retail supply chain exchanged questions and opinions about how end consumers are making apparel purchasing decisions. Consumer behaviour, on both a global and local scale, influences the participating companies’ businesses on a daily basis.
The presentations, led by Cotton Incorporated, impacted 233 representatives from the following companies: Permoda S.A., Cencosud S.A., Almacenes Exito S.A. and Estudio de Moda S.A. (retailers); Fabricato S.A., Grupo Crystal S.A.S. and Coltejer S.A. (vertically integrated); and Grupo Uribe (retailer and fabric distributor).
