COTTON USA Almost Doubles its Facebook Fan Base in Germany
The COTTON USA Facebook site in Germany boosted its community by 45% to more than 30,450 fans within the past 16 months. COTTON USA achieved 40% of the increase between July 2014 and June 2015 through frequent COTTON USA Facebook campaigns, generating more than 982,000 consumer contacts.
COTTON USA Facebook campaigns include posts, licensee promotions, links and hashtags, such as #LOVEMYCOTTON and #COTTONUSA. These represent a key part of its German multi-media campaign to maintain and improve the image, preference for and purchases of U.S. cotton among consumers, brands and retailers.
Digital communication plays an important role in Germany since consumers are looking to bond with their favorite brands. COTTON USA Germany built its continuously growing fan base carefully over the past years. Facebook is the largest social network in Germany, with about 28 million users in Germany and an increasingly diversified user base. Some 86% of companies in Germany have a social media presence - most of them on Facebook.
