COTTON USA selected Brazil-born designer Lucas Nascimento for its prestigious London Fashion Week sponsorship, bringing U.S. cotton fashion to the catwalk. COTTON USA’s support of fashion designers – including past sponsorship of Preen, Richard Nicoll, Meadham Kirchhoff, PPQ, Louise Gray and palmer//harding  – communicates U.S. cotton’s quality, versatility and high fashion credentials to consumers.

Before the show, COTTON USA secured two online competitions with Marie Claire (1 million unique users) and InStyle (350,000 unique users) to win tickets to the catwalk.

The show was a huge success, with more than 600 guests in attendance. This included more than 50 international buyers representing retailers such as Barneys New York, Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. Some top tier media attendees of the show included: Vogue, Elle, Stella Magazine, Glamour and a number of influential fashion bloggers such as Style Bubble. The overall readership of the media publications in attendance was 6.3 million.

To further promote the benefits of using premium U.S. cotton within the fashion industry, COTTON USA will run a post-show competition offering entrants the chance to meet the designers and win an exclusive garment designed by Lucas Nascimento made using U.S. cotton fabric donated by Supima®.
