COTTON USA hosted a booth at EXPO COTELCO 2016, the most important hospitality trade show in Colombia, to promote U.S. cotton fiber, yarns and fabrics. The trade show took place in Cali, Colombia, with 170 exhibitors and 1,500 visitors from hotel chains in the region.

COTTON USA’s highlighted U.S. cotton’s quality, purity and responsible production. The stand exhibited sheets and towels from the following COTTON USA licensees: Peru Pima (Peru); Textiles Mar y Sol (Ecuador); and Protela, Coltejer and Textiles Konkord (Colombia). Each brand made business connections with buyers from the hospitality sector, including hotel owners, general managers, and purchasing and commercial managers.

In addition, the COTTON USA licensee Tocaz, which produces towels for most of the hotels in Colombia, had its own booth at the show and exhibited COTTON USA point-of-purchase materials and photos of the cotton growing process.

The COTTON USA Sourcing Program provided information about its 17 U.S. member mills, handed out informational brochures and showed a video featuring the 17 mills’ logos. The Sourcing Program logo was also placed on 1,500 seat backs in the conference room.
