Christy Towel Promotion with COTTON USA Yields Sales Increase
Following its high profile Spring advertising campaign which reached 4.6 million consumers, Christy's reported a sales increase of its COTTON USA products of 4.3% on the year in the UK and 57.8% in its export market.
The promotion centered around a social media campaign in the UK showcasing high quality towels made with Supima cotton. Eight British bloggers led the campaign—putting together eight styles, from "city chic" to "vintage"—and publicized it on UK social media including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. COTTON USA and Christy released two promotional videos to further engage consumers.
Christy has been a COTTON USA licensee since 2007 and its products are sold in 445 stores in the United Kingdom and in 290 high-end department stores around the world.
