U.S. cotton producers Lee Cromley and Jon Whatley (American Cotton Producers) gave press interviews in Korea as part of the 2014 COTTON USA Executive Delegation to discuss U.S. cotton’s commitment to responsibility and continual improvement.

Dong-A Daily, a newspaper with a daily circulation of 1.5 million,  covered the interview in Korea on Oct. 23, focusing on the global trend toward a preference for natural cotton fiber.

Whatley and Cromley discussed the innovation and technology that goes into responsibly producing high quality cotton. They said that their farms have been operating for four generations, about 200 years.

Eight U.S. cotton industry representatives traveled to China, Korea and Japan as part of the 2014 COTTON USA Executive Delegation to discuss a variety of market and trade issues with U.S. cotton’s customers.

In addition to Cromley and Whatley, the participating delegates included: Cotton Council International (CCI) Treasurer Anthony Tancredi, Bobby Walton (ACSA), Carlos Garcia (AMCOT), Marc Lewkowitz (Supima), Kevin Latner (CCI) and Rob Miller (CCI).
