Sourcing USA Summit Concludes in Scottsdale
The recent Sourcing USA Summit, held Nov. 11 -14, 2014, in Scottsdale, AZ, convened more than 420 leading global sourcing companies in an effort to strengthen partnerships. Internationally recognized speakers, along with interactive networking opportunities, facilitated an agenda to increase U.S. cotton sales by promoting cotton and COTTON USA.
“The Sourcing USA Summit will have a definite impact on U.S. cotton fiber exports,” CCI President Jordan Lea said. “The whole industry met in one place, and the networking opportunities will pay off. We were able to spend quality time with customers from all over the world, and to tell our story to illustrate U.S. cotton’s quality and our industry’s value-added services.”
In addition to networking, the Summit featured business forums on topics impacting the global cotton industry, including new approaches to seize market opportunities to overcome growing competition from manmade fibers. The U.S. cotton industry continues to emphasize its steadfast commitment to responsible cotton production and global cotton supply chain partners.
The Sourcing USA Summit is organized biennially in cooperation with Cotton Council International, Cotton Incorporated and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service.
