Taipei IN Style Trade Fair Features “I Love My Cotton” Collections
Fashion designers in Taiwan put a unique spin on classic white cotton garments for their COTTON USA “I Love My Cotton” collections at the Taipei IN Style (TIS) trade fair, held Nov. 12-15 in Taipei.
Designers from NAIF 2016 Vogue, Wang Ren-Jye and Hsu Chiu-I utilized an artistic digital pattern by Wang Ren-Jye in their collections. A COTTON USA spinner licensee, Tai Yuen Textile, provided all of the cotton fabrics used in the collections.
Nearly 30,000 visitors joined exhibitors and designers in Taipei’s creative hub, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei, for TIS. Themed “Asia Fashion Hotspot,” TIS featured numerous local and international designers showcasing their latest pieces, including Isabelle Wen, Sophia Wu, Athena Chung, Kenny Yen, Austin Wu and Goji Lin.
The event provided a platform for exhibitors to expand their businesses and reach into the global market. Buyers attended 15 fashion shows, as well as five professional seminars.
TIS was formed in 2006 and is sponsored by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan and co-organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Department of Economic Development of Taipei City Government. TIS takes place twice a year in April and November.
With the mission of bonding the apparel and textile industry from upstream to downstream, TIS has successfully paved the road for numerous Taiwanese and foreign designers, brands and companies on to the international stage.
