Cotton Council International (CC) and Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA) organized two of the Technical Webinar series in April 28 and May 25 to assist spinning mills in Vietnam to fully grasp the advantages of using U.S. cotton to increase profitability amid ever-increasing global supply chain uncertainty. The webinars “Improve Production Management to Optimize Efficiency in Spinning Mills” and “Strategies to Exploit New Revenue Streams in Spinning Mills” explicitly explained the benefits of using U.S. cotton that are derived from the intrinsic value of U.S. cotton and from the premium assistance provided by CCI’s world class experts.
The first webinar attracted 92 participants from 71 mills, in which 24 are owners, CEO and C level personnel. 84 participants from 57 mills joined the second webinar, in which 33 are owners, CEO and C level personnel. On average, 75% of participants of the two webinars have direct or indirect impacts on the cotton purchasing decision of their firms. The high attendance rate from top management level showed the strong interest of mills toward learning new technical methods to improve their bottom lines.
The interaction among participating mills, COTTON USA representatives, and experts was outstanding. These interactive and live Q&A sessions with a long list of questions, which was related to U.S. cotton and technical practices in spinning, provided opportunities for CCI’s staff to engage and further deliver our messages. Overall, the webinars were well perceived with 80% satisfied participants, and 95% of them will introduce this COTTON USA technical webinar series to their colleagues.
As the result of the webinar series, 65% of participants would like to utilize COTTON USA Solutions. 7 mills have shown interest in scheduling a mill audit. The number of “need more information” participants reduced from 44% in the first webinar to 35% in the second webinar.
Cotton Council International, Vietnam office will continue to cooperate with local associations and partners to organize future technical webinars to build on the current success to further introduce COTTON USA Solutions to spinning mills in Vietnam to show them the premium quality and services that U.S. cotton industry can offer.
